The outsiders was a good movie and an even greater book because it was a heart warming story.Because it shows how friends stick together in thick and thin and the reason i like is the action and the drama that goes on in it with gang.So the whole plot of the story was the greasers and the socs gang war.the greasers is a gang that wear their hair back with grease and wear leather jackets all the time and the rival gang the socs were madras (a type of plaid shirts) and have short hair and are rich kid.So those are the people fighting in the story and movie.
